He previously worked at Eton Park, JP Morgan (private equity) and Goldman Sachs, where he was an investment banker in the Financial Institutions Group and worked on the firm’s internal strategy team.
Soumen Ray
Soumen Ray is the Group Chief Financial Officer of Bharti Airtel Limited. Soumen is an accomplished and seasoned leader with more than 25 years of experience in Financial & Strategic Planning, Accounting and Business partnering. In his earlier roles, Soumen has been the CFO of Bharti Airtel for 4 years and has been instrumental in driving operating efficiencies delivering consistent EBITDA margin improvement while supporting the business on driving strong growth. He has also steered the overall War on Waste program so as to drive fuel for growth. He has also led the Financial services vertical of Airtel. Prior to joining Bharti group, he was associated with Bajaj Auto Limited as the CFO where he played a key role in the development of the electric vehicle roadmap. In his earlier roles he has worked in Viacom 18, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, and Eveready Industries India across areas of financial planning, strategy, M&A as well as Analytics
